I was not sure what to expect when I read this book, but I knew it was going to be good. I have been reading (in)courage for a while and really love it. This book was so full of raw, beautiful truths about friendship and how we can be that kind of friend that each of us long for. Instead of trying to fit our friends into our own box of ideas and expectations, we need to learn how to be kind of friend every one of us women wants and needs, and that starts with our own hearts.
Lisa was so candid in her words about the struggles we all face in friendships, and what it takes to have friendships that stick. The book slapped me in the face with a 2×4 when I read it because of how much I realized I need to change my own approach to friendship.
If you are looking for some encouragement, and candid lessons on how to be a better friend, but looking through Scripture at how The Ultimate Friend–Jesus–shows us how to be a friend, then I encourage you to read this book! It has totally changed my perspective on friendship!
