Today I am going to review The Apologetics Study Bible. I am used to the ESV version of the Bible however once I picked this Bible up I did see that it is not much of a difference in the Christian Standard Bible and the English Standard Version. What I really liked were the Articles that were included in the Bible by many of whom were evangelists and they helped tell you how we can apply the scripture to our lives as well as how we can use the information and minister to others. One thing that might be a turn off for many people is Jesus words are not in red. I am used to it as my ESV study Bible does not have His words in red either.
What I really enjoyed the MOST about this Bible were the sections in the beginning that talked about what apologetics is, how it applies to our lives and how it can be used to change our lives. It also has a section in the beginning that describes the differences in the our writing history and how things have changed and how to answer people who are skeptical about taking the word of God that was written thousands of years ago and apply it to our lives today. This Bible helps someone who desires to have a better understanding of the scriptures and how we can use the word of God to encourage others and most of all convince them that the word of God is infallible and concrete as well as use it to help someone see the truth through all the fallacies that are being pushed on us in this time in society.
I believe as a Christian, apologetics is a critical area of knowledge for any type of ministry. I am looking forward to using this bible as a reference as I continue with my counseling degree and then onto my career in the future. This Bible and the greater understanding of apologetics is a great tool that can be used when ministering to others. I enjoy having many different Bibles to use as references and I am very pleased to have added this one to the collection. =)
