“I didn’t know what would happen to us, but I knew that I knew that I knew that God was faithful.” – Raechel (83)
Wow. That’s what I said as I closed She Reads Truth by Raechel Myers and Amanda Bible Williams, and ponder. Yep. There was so much strength and faith in what is basically the memoir of the two authors. To write about your own story, the good and the bad already takes courage, but to lay it out there about your faith – what went wrong and how it went right, well, that takes a certain resilience. Beautifully written, poetic even, She Reads Truth, no matter which story you’re reading, the words and its meaning seems to jump out of the pages, straight into your mind, as it travel down to your heart.
Honest and compelling, She Reads Truth isn’t just about two women’s journey, but it points to the Word, the Truth, and the Light in Jesus Christ. And that, my friends is what makes this book so intense and strong. It’s soul-searching. As life is good, seek Him first. When grief overtakes you, seek Him and let His light and faith shine through. Finding the conviction to find HIM first, (that’s amazing) and you will find the permanence of Him and in Him.
