`The Marvelous Mud House` is a Christian book for children by author April Graney. It is a story of finding fullness and joy even when you have very little. A story of being content with what you do have.
The book I have chosen to review is organized into simple paragraphs. This structure is sufficient for the story being told. Each page is just long enough to tell a story by not giving too much detail away, leaving room for the child to imagine being there.
There are two families in this hardback book. One family, the Smith’s, live in the `hungry` house, the house of always wanting more. The other family lives in the `Marvelous` house, a house of contentment. The Smith family went to see the Marvelous house in Kenya. Can they be content no matter their circumstance?
The primary medium used in the illustrations are very colorful drawings. I recommend this book to 8-12-year-olds, both boys and girls. This would also be a great book for an adult to read aloud to children.
