The Curious Christian by Barnabas Piper is one of those books that is so much deeper than you might expect. Piper explains how a curiosity founded in Christianity can help to shape our futures and ground our personal growth in Christ. More importantly, though, curiosity can and will affect our relationships in a way that has the power to change the world around us. This aspect of Piper’s book was very convicting for me. This book is better to read having as few preconceived notions about it as possible, and it is far underrated in my opinion. I would not be surprised if 25 years from now we look back at The Curious Christian and consider it a modern classic. For those who are concerned, please know that Piper does not shy away from theological thought in this book, but only does so with the aim of practicality. His writing style is very readable and his methods are convicting.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from B&H Publishing and was under no obligation to post a review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
