One of the greatest gifts you can give your kids is a love for books. I truly believe that, even though my kids did not grow up to be avid book readers, however, to this day they will recall stories from some of their favorite childhood books and argue over who the book actually belongs to. The “seek & find” style of books was always a favorite.
I’m loving the new Look & Find Bible Storybook from B&H Kids. To get a somewhat good picture of the book, I had to take the pictures in a dark room because the padded cover and the hardboard pages are so glossy, I kept getting a glare on my phone. The book itself it beautiful and eye-catching, busy like crazy, so the kids will be drawn to it automatically. There is so much detail, it is a book that will keep them busy and that they will come back to time after time and find something new (isn’t that what the Bible, even Bible storybooks are suppose to do?).
I put the Expo-Click pen on the book for two reasons; to show how big this book is and to suggest using this type of write-on/wipe-off pen. This is my favorite feature of the book, the kids can write on the slick pages and then wipe it off to start all over again. I didn’t have one handy, but a transparency marker would probably work too and then remove with a wet wipe.
8 stories are told in word and picture with great detail.
Then you open the book up even further for a 3 page layout for each story. There is a list of items to search for, but there is so much more that can be found. It’s a great way to reinforce the bible story, but also basic motor skills and learning skills.
If you have kids in your life, this book needs to be on your bookshelf! This one has been marked for 2 little girls, along with 2 pens (different colors of course).
