Guess what? It’s September and you’re still mucking your way through Job to read your Bible through in a year. 2017 was going to be different. But alas, you got beat down by making those check marks on your reading plan. You got sick and missed two days then your daughter got sick and you were up all night. You got caught up but you don’t remember what you read. Well, don’t worry. The CSB Reader’s Bible might be the best thing that’s happened to your Bible reading time.
If your goal is to read the entire Bible cover to cover-you need this Bible. There are no footnotes, no references, no chapters, no verses. Simply the name of the each book of the Bible at the beginning of each book. Having grown up in church and being married to pastor we have our fair share of Bibles and it took me a day or two to just read with no chapters or verses.
This Bible is exactly what it says, “Reader’s Bible.” If you can read you can use this Bible. Some Bibles on the market have Introductions at the beginning to teach you how to use their Bible, this Bible does not have that, nor does it need it. The only thing that would make this Bible better is if it was in chronological order then you really would be reading it like a narrative story.
This Bible would be a great gift for anyone that has an interest in reading the entire Bible. Let’s face it, if people can rock through the Harry Potter series they can read this Bible cover to cover.
Thanks to B & H Publishing for allowing me to review this Bible in exchange for my honest review. If you are interested in purchasing the CSB Reader’s Bible please visit lifeway.com.
