Tell Me About Easter is a new book published by B&H Kids. It’s a sturdy board book with die-cut, rounded corners that is suitable for babies and toddlers alike. Enhancing the fun and colorful illustrations are the additions of flocking and foil accents. These add tactile and visual interest for young children. The book is just the right length for the normally short attention span of toddlers. The sing-song type of rhyming is perfect for reading aloud to a little one. I also like that the author repeats the last line of each page until the very end. I can just imagine little kids “reading” along on that line after enjoying this book for just a short time when they become familiar with that sentence. The book talks about the newness of animals and plants in the spring and also about Easter eggs, but finishes strong by revealing the true meaning of Easter and presents a short, toddler-version of the Gospel. I can’t wait to share this beautiful book with the little ones in my extended family.
I received this book for free from B&H Publishing in exchange for an honest review as part of their Lifeway Bloggers Program. I was not obligated to write a positive review.
