When I saw this book, I couldn’t help but pick it up and look at the beautiful pages within. I’m drawn to books that go through the names of Jesus because I always have to praise God for who He is in order to put my focus back where it should be, whether it’s good times or bad. I knew I had to read this book and see where it stood biblically. I compare everything to God’s Word to be sure that it is a book that I can recommend to others that draws people closer to God.
First of all, the pictures in this book are simply gorgeous. That was a pleasant surprise to me because I was not expecting to see pictures in this beautiful book. The cover is hardback and beautifully done, as well. My absolute favorite thing is the type of paper that the book is printed on. It’s not the cheap stuff! It’s beautiful and slick and makes the words and pictures on the pages pop.
The devotions are broken down into one page a day for 100 days. At the top of the page is verse of the attribute of God, followed by the definition of the attribute. The devotional ends with a prayer of praise to Jesus for that attribute, as well as a question to meditate on.
Now onto the content itself….the entire devotional points to Jesus. It is definitely a devotional that I would recommend. After going through them, I know my heart has been redirected towards Jesus. For me, I like to keep it by my bed and pick it up first thing in the morning. It helps me set my heart before I ever put my feet on the floor. What a beautiful thing to wake up each morning to praise God for who He is!
If you wanted to give this book as a gift, there is a page in the very front that has a dedication page.
I received this page from Lifeway and B & H Publishing in exchange for my honest opinion of this book.
