100 Days with Jesus: A Daily Glimpse into the Person of Christ written by Diann Cotton is a small, hard back book. The cover is beautiful with a navy background and the title is in gold embossing along with the artwork on the front. Very visually pleasing in my opinion. The inside contains breath-taking pictures from nature. The whole premise of the book is to highlight the different names of Jesus, 100 of them in fact. For each day, there is a picture that coincides with the name of Christ and on the adjoining page, the name of Christ, a scripture reference to that name, definition of the name, and a short prayer.
I used this for a few days in conjunction with my quiet time, starting on day 1 and had hopes to go 100 days, but to be honest, I had a hard time getting into it. It was almost as if, inside each day was too much repetition of trying to drive home one of the names of Jesus.
I wouldn’t say that this book is all bad and I may even try to give it another chance. I do think this book would be best used as a daily devotional resource, taking each name, one day at a time and really focusing on that name throughout your entire day.
